Top, heart and base notes of Givenchy L'Interdit Eau de Parfum, its full ingredient list with the allergens brands must declare, how to check when your bottle was made and how to store it.
A white floral bouquet of orange blossom, sambac jasmine and tuberose given a dark, rebellious edge by patchouli and vetiver.
Fragrance notes
Declared fragrance allergens 10
Linalool, Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Benzyl Salicylate, Eugenol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citral, Coumarin, Benzyl Alcohol
EU rules require these fragrance components to be named on the label above a small threshold (the list was extended in 2023). They are common in fine fragrance; if your skin reacts easily, spray on clothes rather than skin, or patch-test first.
Other things in the bottle
- UV filters (Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane) protect the juice’s colour and scent from light — they do not protect your skin.
- Colourants (CI 19140, CI 17200, CI 60730) give the liquid its tint.
Shelf life and storage
Most perfumes stay good for years unopened, and usually 3–5 years after opening when kept away from heat and light. Keep the bottle in its box, away from the bathroom and windows. If the colour darkens or the opening smells sharp or sour, it has started to turn. Check the batch code to see when it was made.
